Let the fun begin…

Production News, September 13th, 2007, 5:02 pm

I now have a pretty good idea as to how I want K-Max Media 4.0 to look like. Nothing too complicated however, unlike before, I will be using this very software’s template and themes feature to completely manage all of my content. So, no more FTP’ing HTML files as much.

This is more or less what will be standard on most Web 2.0 systems where a Content Management System is used to manage all of the pages on the site. Advantages to this is that everything is in a DB and searchable. Disadvantages, especially using 3rd party software is that you have to make to work with the software. No big deal. Just mounds of documents to read. It’s not like I’ve haven’t done it before. Heh.

Pardon the Mess….

Hope you like the new look and pardon the mess, I’m still in the process of constructing 3.0. But there you have it. More later.

More on Version 3…

Production News, January 30th, 2006, 5:35 pm

Well, all in all it’s a new simple design that I’m putting together. Perhaps reminiscent of Version 2.4 or 2.7 but using better tools to put them together. So it yields a MUCH cleaner look which was sorely missed in the Paint Shop Pro days.

All of the coverages prior 2004 with the exception of Anime North 2002 Coverage will be GONE from the site. So, for those nostilagia buffs, it’s your last chance to see it before it’s gone.

I guess the development went quicker than expected since I’m still unemployed though I had 2 short job stints. I really need to get a new and fresh site where clients can see my work and my style (or perhaps continue work on developing one).

But in the little time I’ve had to to put it together, the aim is more towards showing you the projects that have been done and that will be done and also get an on-line portfolio up. Plus perhaps put up more info about myself. It has been a while since I wrote a 120 page auto-biography about the artist known as K-Max formerlly known as MaxMaxwell… ew… I really should get that e-mail changed soon.

I was actually able to do a simple port of the code over and it still works on the test site that I’ve put it on. So I’m glad I spent the extra few seconds making portable code. Saves lots of time in the long run.

www.kmaxmedia.com will no longer be a media news site, but, will be a “company” web site showcasing the works of K-Max Media. 2006 will be the year where I’ll be refocussing my efforts and trying to well, actually make money off the stuff that I do. But, for those who have been with me since 2001, the works that have been done that have been shown for free will remain free to view, download and leech. Heh.

With the success of Northern Physique, it will really be the first major thing to really separate the two. Speaking of Northern Physique, I’m in the midst of negotiating a few new deals. We shall see. It may (or may not) delay Season 2 of the content updates. But now that we had a wild first year, we want to really bring awesome quality to the next season.

In the meantime, your thoughts are greatly appreciated. And no, I will not update daily. I will no longer subject myself to such pressures when I don’t have to. So there. MUAHAHA!

I fixed my e-mail server stuff. It was down today because I goofed up on some settings. You should be able to send me e-mails now.

Production News, May 3rd, 2005, 2:49 pm

Wow, I didn’t think I could move the site in 4 hours…

Still a few kinks to figure out… let me know of there are any problems.
